I believe that we used our research well to create this piece of merchandise as we have made it simplistic which seems to be a common convention. Also, record companies would need to make simple pieces of merchandise so that they were not spending too much money on them. By creating this piece of merchandise the record company would only need to buy plain white tshirts and get the words 'Daniel Merriweather' and 'Red' as well as the image printed on them cheaply. They can then sell this piece of merchandise for more money than it cost to produce therefore allowing them to make a profit.
